About me
My name is Teppo Koivula, I'm from Tampere, Finland and I was born in August 1984. I'm currently finishing my digital media -studies at Tampereen Ammattikorkeakoulu University of Applied Sciences and working as a part-time web-developer at AkuSolvers Oy.
I've had an addiction to computers and computer games since the 90's and an interest in programming and computer graphics for almost as long. When I got my first PC I became an Internet addict and quite soon my very first web project, useless personal site filled with blinking and singing stuff, got me started with web design.
If my calculations are correct, I've been "doing the web" for almost ten years now and nowadays I'm a web-designer, web-developer and graphic designer. My hobby became my job. Funny how it goes, isn't it?
In addition to computer-stuff I'm also enthusiastic about lots of other things, such as movies (horror and martial arts), music (punk, rock & metal), martial arts, photography and body modification.
And I just love talking about myself!

Piikkilanka is Finnish for barbwire. I can't recall for sure which I did first: bought the piikkilanka.com domain or got my first tattoo, a barbwire circling around my left arm. One inspired the other, no doubt of that, but the order is a bit of a mystery.
This site struggles to collect all of my projects, writings, photos and things like that at one place. I also host here some websites I've created for others.
Even though all the smart people know that XHTML is invalid HTML, this site is created using XHTML 1.0 Strict (I'm a bit of a standards fanatic to be honest, can't go transitional if using strict is possible) and CSS with PHP and MySQL doing the dirty work. I'm also experimenting with AJAX and CSS level 2-3 stuff, so some things might not work perfectly with (especially earlier versions of) bad browsers.
